Football Champions

Title

There has not been a season in recent memory which has witnessed such a close title race in English football in over a decade or more. Since the advent of the English Premier League, most seasons have seen the competition reduced to a two horse race or either one of Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal dominating the rest of the division. Fortunately for fans of the league, this season has provided more twists and turns than can be afforded a donut. The result is a sweet concoction of action, drama, irony and incredible stories for the media and fans alike.… Continue reading

The simple answer to the above question, of course, is ‘No, obviously not.’ After all, buying the title of Champions of the English Premier League would entail bribing a large number of referees, opposing players and, almost certainly, League officials. With this victory, Real Madrid is focusing on their next… Continue reading

Manchester United’s form this season has been extremely similar. Yesterday’s win against Liverpool sealed a double against their fierce rivals for the first time since the 2007-08 campaign. Add to that their wins at Stamford Bridge, the Etihad and a home victory against Arsenal, and United are already looking like running away with the title.

After missing… Continue reading
